New technique, new scarf!

I liked the scarf I've made during Leiko Uchi workshop but still it was not exactly what I wanted... It took me a couple of days (at least!) and now I have this:

I adore it! It's very light and nearly transparent and still has a substance and nice texture. The back side is beautiful as well! It reminds me some high quality lace, very much felt for summer days. I am very proud of myself that's why so many pictures:

This is a back side, I don't know which side i like more!

I used hand-dyed (by myself) silk chiffon and hand-dyed (by Leiko) wool. The shinkage is very high approx.50%.

  1. This is absolutely gorgeous, well worth spending 2 days to make. How did you deal with the open silk edge, did it need hemming?

    1. Thank you Teri! I really love it myself! As for the open edge I put a very thin strand of wool, like the dark stripes on the picture before the last. Everything is very thin.
